John Taylor, also known as “J.T.,” a skilled guitarist and background vocalist. He hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the birthplace of iconic figures like August Wilson, Michael Keaton, George Benson, and the beloved Fred Rogers.
John’s passion for music ignited at the age of 12 when his father gifted him a guitar. Since then, his dynamic talent has led him to collaborate with several popular bands in and around Pittsburgh, including The House of Soul, Rodney McCoy, Top Flyte, Deep Pockets, and NT: 40. Influenced by greats like Prince, Funkadelic, James Brown, Norman Brown, George Benson, Journey, David Bowie, and more, John wrote the single “Thinkin’ ‘Bout the Night Show” in the 90s, gaining regular airplay on local radio station WAMO-FM 106.
In 1999, John and his family moved to the Atlanta area, where he continued to play and groove with various bands such as Crystal Clear, The Sons of Soul, The Heit Band, Total Package, The Menagerie Show Band, EarGazm (a group he co-founded), and Drakarr And An Experience. Today, John remains active, playing with diverse bands, and showcasing his skills as a songwriter, producer, and sound company professional.
